Static Control for Textiles

As fibres are manipulated during the textile manufacturing process, static is created which then causes these fibres to cling to surrounding surfaces and machinery. This is likely to cause issues with production and even operator shocks.

When folding machines are used, by their very nature, the movement generates static electricity. This is a growing problem particularly because of the increased use of man made fibres. Items stick or cling onto the conveyor systems causing jamming and breakdowns.

Static is also generated when fibres pass through ceramic eyelets and combs during warping, fibres can break creating problems at the warping beam.
